My wife and I bought an older home here in 2015 and spent months renovating it ourselves. Having grown up in a Northeast beach town, we watched our hometown transform from an affordable coastal destination into a year-round traffic jam for the ultra-wealthy. That experience taught us what happens when rapid growth gets ahead of a community.
